Happy Holidays from Newberry County Literacy Council!

This year, we have had a number of books read, though not shared on this page, but we hope that the public takes on the opportunity of joining us in reading Sleeping With The Ancestors by Joseph McGill, Jr. and Herb Frazier. McGill's book provides a fascinating adventure of himself sleeping overnight in various abandoned slave cabins in America, along with his insights and research as a Civil War historian and reenactor.

We will begin reading this book together on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 and meet regularly on the Tuesdays that follow.
