The Newberry County Literacy Council empowers our community by offering tutoring and instruction in skills that are essential to functioning in both a job and in society as well as other programs to help individuals reach their goals. While many programs focus on adults, we also work with children grades K-12. Our mission not only serves individual needs but also strengthens our community as a whole.

Mission

To provide a literacy program which will enable adults and children alike to read, write, and speak English as well as to compute and solve problems at levels of proficiency necessary to function on the job and in society, while reaching individual goals.
