Create and Celebrate a Nation of Diverse Readers

The Newberry County Literacy Council welcomes all to celebrate Read Across America Week, sponsored by the National Education Association in the first week of March. Here's some ways you can celebrate this week as well as the rest of March is National Reading Month:
Pick up a library book to read from the local public library, a neighborhood library at an establishment, or a library from a school or a place of worship you may attend.
You can always drop by our office to pick up a free book for yourself or a loved one to encourage literacy for leisure and education.
Read to your children, a spouse, a friend, or someone who needs help reading to keep them informed, entertained, or enlightened.
